You are on a business break, and you plan to visit Ontario. Where would you experience the most fun?
The CN Tower
The first, urban-adventure spot that captures visitors’ delight in Canada’s economic apex is Toronto’s CN Tower. Standing at 1815ft tall, the CN Tower is Canada’s most renowned beacon.
Do you know that CN Tower was once the tallest, free-standing marvel?
Even now, the engineering marvel is still a world-renowned display of architectural beauty that brightens the skies of a skyline city.
Talking of the skyline city, going up the CN Tower to the observation deck provides artistic views of Toronto’s skyscrapers. On days clear of mist, you will get to see Niagara Falls.
And perhaps it’s cloudy; you’ll still get to excite your eyes with Lake Ontario, Ripley Aquarium, and Roger centre (aka Skydome). Feeling hungry?
You can get food at the observation deck. The deck has a restaurant that never sleeps — an elevation-complementary and award-winning 360-mouth feast. It’s fine dining at the top of the town.
CN Tower also features a EdgeWalk. Ever heard of EdgeWalk? No?
Edge walk is a mind-blowing, hands-free, adventurous walk for adrenaline-high tourists. Your feet are on the edge of the outside of the tower while your top is harnessed in on the back and in the front you get to lean over the edge. It’s almost as scary as standing on the Pinnacle of Cathedral and having Satan tempt you. Scary, eh?
Well, CN Tower has the highest edge walk at 1168ft tall. And with videos & photos that capture your scare moments and ha-ha face, edge walk experience is memory-fun filled.
Not feeling so brave? There are sections of the floor made of glass. When we visited several brave kids jumped up and down on it so we know it is still secure after almost 50 years.
Canada’s Wonderland
Tired of edge walking? Or perhaps you need something simple but fun?
Try Canada’s Wonderland: the largest theme park in Canada. It sits on a massive 134 hectares of land in Maple/Vaughan. It’s conveniently located just off the highway 400 exit at Rutherford Rd.. If driving and you see the Big Vaughn Mills Bass Pro Shop then you want to exit immediately or you will miss it.
Unlike the CN Tower Edge Wall, Canada’s Wonderland is less scary. It is an all-family excitement hub. Members of your family will have enough to pick from a list of over 200 attractions.
Have a look at the popular choices:
Yukon Striker — is the newest ride in the famous Canada Park. And at a 130km/hr speed, it is the fastest rollercoaster worldwide.
Splash, the 8-hectare water park — get the heat off in a water-fun atmosphere. While you are there, cool off with exciting rides such as the lazy river, riptide racer, the plunge, and super soaker. Here’s a tip. Go to the water park before noon. Often in the July summer heat around 3–4 pm the place gets crowded enough that the park management will restrict access to the water park. No one goes to an amusement park for the line ups go arrive early and avoid the crowds.
Skyhawk — is an interactive ride that allows riders to bring their Kryptonian natures to the fore. With Skyhawk and her flying canoes, you can fly over wonderland’s water, and flap your wings like Blu the bird.
